I have been playing the game since 1.2, and my main Marauder is the first character I made. In PVP or non-scaled content, this problem is negated, and it does comparable damage to most other classes. Unfortunately, this spec suffers from the weapon damage scaling in Nightmare compared to Force/Tech users since everything that is not a DoT is weapon damage (it suffers less than Fury or Carnage, however). This spec is one of the highest parsing specs in the game, and does the highest damage overall in Nightmare level content compared to the other Marauder specs. On top of these bonuses over other Marauder specs, Annihilation will help other classes that rely heavily on DoT abilities tremendously with its 7% internal and elemental damage debuff it applies to targets you hit Annihilate on. Its sustained damage is better than the other two Marauder specs, meaning it relies less on crit for bigger hits to do damage.
